Are you a Fashion-Victim?

Opulent furs and weeny Baguette-Bags, Family-Tradition and young spirit of Modernization, Success and Failure - all this is Fendi, the Fashion House of Extremity.

The History began in 1925 when Adele and Eduardo Fendi founded a Leather and Fur Manufacture in Rome. Consecutively their five daughters Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda joined the Company and brought new innovative fresh Ideas with youthful vim.

1965 they mustered the courage to step into a new direction: They engaged the young Karl Lagerfeld as Creative-Director for Furjackets and -Coats. He designs the concise Double-F-Logo and designed Haute Fourrure for Fendi in a new, young look. From that time on one successful step was followed by another: A limited Fur-Collection was born and the young line Fendissime was begotten, followed by first Women-Collections, Men- and Swim-Collections and 1986 their first Perfume.

Then the shock: Fur is out! Fendi began to tumble, the outbreak of the crisis began. First Prada bought Fendi in 1990, later Fendi was sold to LVMH Group to 51%. However, a clever Idea of Silvia Venturini Fendi, daughter of Anna Fendi, brought Fendi back to success. She redesigned the Baguette-Bag, once created of her Grandmother, and brought it back to market.

LVMH: The name of the Enterprise is composed of associated Brands: Louis Vuitton, Moët et Chandon (Champagner) and Hennessy (Cognac). Overall LVMH counts about 50 Luxury Brands all held majoritarian by LVMH. With those numbers LVMH is the worldwide Leader in the field of Luxury Goods Industry.
